Location: Houston, TX
When you serve billions real time tracking requests a day, you can imagine how complicated some of the business rules governing those transactions can be. Throw in the massive amounts of data that are collected for reporting and analysis, and you've got data display and usability issues on your hands.
We're looking for an experienced, creative, passionate engineer to help us build out the next generation of our platform UI - the place where our campaign managers and analysts go to see how well we have been optimizing for our clients and to manage their accounts. New dashboards, graphical reporting, and an overhaul of our existing toolset are all on the menu.
Responsibilities:
Work with Product Management and Usability to design top-notch tools, creating wire frames and/or mockups as needed
Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and develop scalable technical solutions for new features
Coordinate with QA for functional testing.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Self-motivation
Strong programming background in Ruby, Rails 3, and Javascript
Strong design aesthetic
Pluses:
jQuery, jQuery UI, RSpec
Some experience with Java preferred
Experience working in data visualization
Experience in either online advertising or the financial industry
